MANGROVE EXPERIENCE
 

On 19 November, the girls went to the St. Kilda Mangrove Trail which is only 30 minutes north of OLSH. It comprises a 2km boardwalk and is complemented by a world class visitor centre.

They explored the boardwalk which leads deep into the interesting world of the Barker Inlet Aquatic Reserve. They learned about this unique flooded forest which is so close to the city of Adelaide. It is full of rare and beautiful birds.

Afterwards, they had fun at the St Kilda Playground – especially the ‘Flying Fox’ ride which travels at great speed down a steep hill!

11月19日、生徒たちは、OLSHから30分ほど北にはなれた、 『セント・キルダ・マングローブ』を訪れました。このマングローブは、

2kmの遊歩道と、ワールドクラスの「ビジター・センター」(旅行者向けの施設)  から成っています。  彼女たちは、遊歩道を散策し、そのアデレードのシティに接近した、

ユニークさにあふれる自然の森について学びました。そこには、とても  珍しく、美しい鳥でいっぱいでした。

 その後、彼女たちは、マングローブの近くに位置する「セント・キルダ・プレイグラウンド」(アスレチック公園)を楽しみました。特に、急な丘をすごいスピードで進む『フライイング・

フォックス』は一番の人気でした！
